Internet Traffic Optimization insights

Network management engineers at Constellix have released a study on the ITO industry, which is projected to triple in worth by 2020.

Constellix, an ITO (Internet Traffic Optimization) company, offers its expert opinion on the current and future state of the industry. ITO has taken the IT world by storm, forcing network administrators to rethink how they approach traffic routing and optimization. The network engineers at Constellix have concluded that the current valuation of the ITO industry is upwards or $80 million dollars as of 2016. They anticipate these numbers to more than triple by 2020, reaching $350 million in worth.

The successes of ITO are a direct result of its ability to exceed the demands of network administrators.

“Clients want to be able to both optimize their traffic, and achieve total visibility of any changes they make from rack to server to end-user,” says President of Constellix Steven Job. “Every change to a client’s routing configurations should be an informed one, via an integrated monitoring platform. Clients should not feel like they are shooting blindly at a target.”

Contrary to NPM, APM, or IPM; ITO takes a synergistic approach to performance management, by using integrated monitoring and routing platforms. This technique overcomes blind spots that plague traditional management solutions. The foundation of ITO demands that all network configurations be paired, or rather informed, by information gathered from monitoring and analytics services.

The growth of IOT

The ITO industry is expanding at an unprecedented rate, due to the way clients’ needs have evolved. Constellix experts elaborate on this in their recent blog “Evolution of Traffic Management”. This demand is a culmination of the push towards modern cloud-based architecture, the growth of IOT (Internet of Things), and performance demands from global audiences.

Constellix experts seek to educate administrators on the importance of ITO, and the need for all industries to implement an ITO solution within the next year in order to avoid performance degradation. Constellix is the only traffic management service of its kind that helps fuel end-user experiences to incomparable levels because of its all-in-one synergy between its two platforms.
