Constellix DNS 2022 Preview + Review

It’s been an exciting year at Constellix and we’re moving full speed ahead as we enter the first quarter of 2022! In this blog, we’ll recap our expansions and interface upgrades in 2021 and what you can expect to see this year.

Network and Infrastructure Growth for Ultimate Performance and Reliability

Constellix runs on parent company Tiggee LLC’s Triple Anycast network. Each of our nameservers is strategically positioned in top-tier data centers around the world and are company-owned and maintained. . The Constellix platform was introduced to the Tiggee network in 2013, which has grown from a one-person operation with no PoPs to a multi-million dollar corporation with 23 PoPs (and counting), over 3,200+ peers, 300 Gbps of peering capacity, 730 Gbps of transit capacity, and 4TB of DDoS protection.

2021 Global PoP Expansions

Constellix’s network has grown considerably over the last two years. In 2021, users around the globe have benefited from the two additional points of presence (PoP) added by parent company Tiggee LLC: 

Paris, France - August 2021

Our move into Paris, France brought our customers an even greater speed boost for the 67+million residents of France, as well as Western Europe in general. 

Toronto, Ontario - June 2021

Toronto was Contellix’s first-ever Canada PoP and was added to the Tiggee network to increase speed and performance for Toronto and the surrounding areas, which encompasses a population of more than 6.5 million people. 

PerfOps Acquisition

Another major addition to the Tiggee/Constellix family in 2021 was the acquisition of PerfOps, the industry-leading enterprise data monitoring suite for DNS and Cloud performance. With PerfOps under the Tiggee umbrella, Constellix customers will benefit from the company’s access to even larger and in-depth data sets, which can be used to troubleshoot and improve the entire Tiggee network. 

DNS Upgrade: New Billing Management Console 

Constellix launched its new Billing management interface, which features a fresh new look and a more intuitive design. It’s now easier than ever to manage your DNS invoices, view payment history, and manage payment methods, as well as add users and groups with special privileges based on billing events.  

DNS Upgrade: New User Management Console

Another major update in the Constellix suite was a complete redesign to the User Management Console, complete with useful upgrades. New features include the ability to require two-factor authentication for all sub-users in your account, set custom password requirements, and the option to have two API keys at one time. New -  Proprietary Industry DNS Tools

Along with our infrastructure expansion and interface upgrades, we also developed new industry tools to help IT teams troubleshoot and test their servers and networks:

• Traceroute Tool
  Diagnose delays and blockages between devices and view data in line graph or table format.
• DNS Lookup Tool
  Verify or test your DNS records and query based on location and authoritative nameserver.
• Outage Calculator
  Find the true cost of an outage for your organization.

2020 PoP Expansions

In 2020, Tiggee added two points of presence and a new monitoring location to upgrade its already extensive network:

South Korea Monitoring - November 2020

The Tiggee network added DNS monitoring nodes in Seoul, South Korea to address customer needs. This expansion allows domain owners to track hosts, run traceroutes, and perform instant checks. 

South Africa - October 2020

A major addition to the Constellix Network in 2020 was our expansion into South Africa. This PoP significantly improved speeds and performance for our partners in this area. perf

India - February 2020

With India being the second-largest online market in the world, an expansion into Mumbai was a top priority for the Tiggee network in 2020. This PoP services the entire 1.4+ billion population of the country and its surrounding areas and has been a great benefit to businesses in the region.

2022 Preview: Constellix DNS Upgrades and Expansion Plans

Network and infrastructure upgrades will continue to be a priority for Constellix in 2022. The needs of our customers are at the forefront of every decision we make. Here’s a sneak peek of what’s to come:

Stockholm, Sweden - Coming Soon

The next PoP set to go live in the first quarter of this year is in Stockholm, Sweden. This PoP has been highly requested and will provide a significant improvement to our already fast speeds in Northern and Eastern Europe.

Upgrades to Current PoPs

Along with its continued plans for expansion into new areas, the Tiggee network is also upgrading some of its current PoPs. These upgrades will increase performance as well as provide enhanced security and protection from DDoS attacks. PoPs in the works for upgrades in 2022 include:

• Miami, Florida
• Seattle, Washington
• London, England
  

Upgraded User Interface Development

We will continue to upgrade the Constellix UI and add new features based on your feedback and specialized use cases.
