When it comes to DNS, there's nothing we love more - except DNS management. And maybe Secondary DNS. Or Failover. Even anomaly detection. Oh who are we kidding, if it's even remotely close to the topic of DNS, we got you covered!
This week we’re launching a new series which we’ll post on a weekly basis to give our users an inside look at what we’ve just rolled out and what’s to come for Constellix Sonar and DNS.
This week Constellix DNS is releasing some new features that are going to be really useful for both novice DNS admins and aficionados alike who are setting up new accounts. If you still haven’t signed up, it’s really simple just use your DNS Made Easy account to login and see what Constellix has to offer–free for a limited time, so hurry!
Securing your domains is our number one priority, so we’re starting to offer 2-Factor Authentication for your account. Most providers only use single factor authentications which are typically just a username and password. 2-Factor Auth requires a time sensitive code in addition to your password everytime you login. You can activate this feature through the Constellix DNS Dashboard and you’ll receive an emergency key once you’re all set up. This key is a fail safe protocol, only used if you’re unable to access your account through 2-Factor Auth.
We’re really excited about this one, our New Domain Wizard makes setting up your domains a snap! In three quick steps you can import and configure your domains. Once the changes have registered with your previous provider, you can start modifying your domains instantly with instant propagation. This feature is great for anyone who’s still getting to know DNS or wants some extra assistance when it comes to transferring domains.
Trying to move your domains from one account to another? Now you can transfer your domains from one Constellix account to another in one quick step with no downtime. Keep in mind certain account-specific configurations will not transfer over and will have to be reconfigured with the new account.
We’ve done some remodeling with user management services, and now you can easily manage Primary User and Sub User permissions in seconds. Simply search for the user by name and on the right hand side click the key to edit their permissions.
