Real User Monitoring feature reaches 10 million checks per day

Network monitoring solution, Constellix Sonar, announces its newest feature Sonar RUM has reached 10 million checks per day. This milestone comes just a week after the success of the Sonar RUM webinar.

Constellix’s newest feature, Sonar RUM, reaches a new milestone this week as it hits 10 million checks per day. The sudden growth in RUM checks has been attributed to a recent surge in adoption of Sonar as a monitoring solution for many online businesses. Sonar RUM is a network monitoring tool that uses a simple script embedded in the user’s website to collect information about site visitors to improve their online experience.

Another contributor to the recent growth in early adopters is the success of the Sonar RUM webinar the previous week, which demoed the new service. Attendees were given an in-depth walk through of the suite and Senior Network Engineer Evan Daniels share exclusive tips to the get the most out of RUM.

“Network monitoring has evolved into creating an exceptional online experience for all users, regardless of browsers, ISP, or device,” says Daniels. “Sonar RUM is the go-to tool for sys admins who want to ensure the best possible web performance for all of their unique end-users.”

Sonar RUM allows clients to see end-user web performance factors such as:

– Page load times

– Device

– Browser

– Connection provider (only offered by Constellix): wired, Wi-Fi, or cellular

– Content performance: images, scripts, HTML

– Various third party services: CDN, third party software/plugins, Internet connection, ISP

Network administrators can use this information to optimize their websites for all users and connection types. Sonar Real User Monitoring also allows clients to see page load times by geographical location so clients can quickly trouble regional outages or latency. Sonar RUM will soon be integrated with the Constellix DNS control panel, which will allow clients to take the analytics from Sonar RUM and make actionable changes to their infrastructure all within the same suite.

Sonar RUM is currently available for free for DNS Made Easy users while the Constellix traffic management suite is still in beta.
