Sonar Lite now for iOS and Android

Constellix releases a version for iOS along with updates for two new features.

Sonar Lite users can now take advantage of Constellix’s world-class network within the confines of this simple app.

(PRWEB) Constellix has just released the iOS version of their free mobile app, the free solution for system administrators who need complete visibility of their domains on a global scale. Along with the release come two new features for both platforms, DNS Trace and DNS Lookup.

“We anticipate even more features to be rolled out soon to add greater functionality and granularity to Sonar Lite,” says President of Constellix Steven Job.

Users can also look forward to the upcoming release of the full Constellix Traffic Management Suite by end of Q1 2016. Current DNS Made Easy members can get early access to the Constellix suite and test-drive it while it’s still in beta for a limited time.

The new update for both platforms included the addition of DNS Lookup and DNS Trace features. Sonar lite is the only app that allows you to specify a DNS Lookup by a specified location, rather than configuring by region. This narrower focus allows admins to make better-informed decisions when troubleshooting connectivity issues. Users can even verify the performance of their CDN services using DNS Lookup.

DNS Trace allows users to see the exact path their queries are taking all the from the root server to the name servers. Using Constellix’s massive infrastructure, Sonar Lite is able to follow the path of the user’s query and report the time it takes for packets to travel between each point from root server, to TLD, to NS lookup.
